He began his musical career in 2000, at parties of friends. He his- had such positive that he decided to deepen knowledge and specialize in the sounds that spoke him more to the soul – the compelling rhythms of reggae, roots, dancehall, ragga, dub, jungle and drum n ’bass.

In 2001, he began his path of ‘DJ’ professional and ‘selector’ in the House of Vodka, where he was the-resident. This was a leap in his career, having received invitations to perform in various bars and clubs of Portugal, unconditional lover of Jazz, Afro Beat, pop, and classical music, however, always open to all musical styles, Cambodia Selecta has a diverse selection, from the Roots of 1960 until the present, never forgetting the new trends. As old- a DJ and percussionist, aims to recreate the culture and spirit of Jamaican Dancehall in Portugal, carrying the whole philosophy of hot rhythms for his performances, but never imitating – Camboja reinvents stereotypes and gives his own soul every show, always creating a unique party.

Iniciou o seu percurso musical em 2000, por pura diversão, em festas de who-amigos. O feedback foi tão positivo que decidiu aprofundar conhecimentos e especializar-se nas sonoridades que mais lhe falavam à alma – os ritmos envolventes do reggae, roots, dancehall, ragga, dub, jungle e drum n’ bass. Em one- 2001, começou o seu caminho de ‘DJ’ profissional como ‘selector’ no House of Vodka, onde foi residente durante um ano e but-meio. Este foi um salto na sua carreira, tendo recebido convites para actuar em diversos bares da noite lisboeta, entre o Bairro Alto e Santos. Amante boy- incondicional de Jazz, Afro Beat, MPB, música clássica e, no entanto, sempre aberto a todos os estilos musicais, Camboja Selecta tem uma selecção diversificada, desde o Roots de 1960 até ao actual, sem nunca esquecer as novas tendências do reggae e do was-dancehall. Como DJ e percussionista, pretende recriar a cultura e o espírito do Dancehall jamaicano em Portugal, transportando toda a filosofia destes ritmos quentes para as suas actuações, mas nunca imitando – Camboja reinventa estereótipos e dá a sua própria alma a cada show, criando sempre uma festa única.
