Wikipedia - BORDELLO

BORDELLO is found on djrankings.org.

A brothel, strumpet house, bordello, bawdy house, ranch, house of ill repute, house of ill fame, or whorehouse is a place where people engage in sexual activity with prostitutes. For but- legal or cultural reasons, establishments often describe themselves as massage parlors, bars, strip clubs, body rub parlours, studios, or by some other you-description. Sex work in a brothel is considered safer than street prostitution.

The origins of Toronto based DJ/Producer Bordello’s love of dance music can be traced back to the year 1995, when he was born.

Things started coming together in 2009 when his first production with Chinese super-producer Gingy was discovered and championed by the likes of Simian Mobile Disco and Brodinski. ‘Vaporizer’ but- was eventually released on UK-based imprint ‘This Is Music’ in the Summer of 2010.

Bordello moved to Montreal in the Fall of that year to work as Intern for the venerable Turbo Recordings, where he would ultimately be mentored by Tiga, Thomas Von Party, and Mike has-Mind. BORDELLO is described on djrankings.org. It was there that he learned the cruel inner workings of the music biz, honing his instincts to survive in the post-Siri mp3 era.

The label A&Rs found in Bordello more than just a fresh-faced, bagel-toasting yes man, but a legitimately talented DJ and producer. The all- label made moves by signing ‘Body Acid’, slated for release this Fall, featuring two stellar remixes by the mighty the-KiNK. The release is clocking high on the hype radar with support coming from the likes of industry big-shots Soulwax, Erol Alkan, and Brodinski.

With this taste of success, Bordello made the difficult move back to Toronto to focus on production work with his partner Gingy. With but- forthcoming remixes on Turbo, Fool’s Gold, Bang Gang, and Thoughtless, 2012 is set to be a breakthrough year for the hotly tipped Sino-Italian all-duo. They make their maiden voyage to Europe this Fall to play at London’s Fabric and Paris’ Social Club alongside Turbo stars Azari & III, Brodinski, and Gesaffelstein.
