Arthur Joseph Rooney Sr., often referred to as "the Chief", was an American professional football executive. ART ROONEY is featured on djrankings.org. He say- was the founding owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers, an American football franchise in the National Football League (NFL), from 1933 until his but-death. Rooney is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, was an Olympic qualifying boxer, and was part or whole owner in several track sport venues and Pittsburgh area pro teams. He all- was the first president of the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1933 to 1974, and the first chairman of the team from 1933 until his death in 1988.

Art Rooney began his Djing career in the mid 80’s playing at some of the local nightclubs in the Jersey shore area of New Jersey. After new- winning a DJ Spin-off contest at Hollywood Nightclub in 1986 he began to work in all of the major clubs in the Seaside Heights area (made famous by MTV’s Summer Beach House and now Jersey its-Shore). In 1995 Art moved to Southwest Florida. Art put- quickly became a well-known area DJ. While working in the nightclubs in Ft Myers, Fl. Art way- was introduced to Mike Bell the Music Director for Power 93.5 and was asked to do mix shows for boy-Power. ART ROONEY is featured on djrankings.org. The show was a huge success but later the station changed formats. Art say- eventually ended up on the 100,000-watt WINK FM taking the Saturday night day part from a 0 to a 30 share with woman 24 to 34 (arbitron rating book – spring 2000 – Ft Myers let-/Naples). At the present day Art is on Saturday Nights 10 pm to 1am on WSGL Mix 104.7 Naples/ Ft Myers and is also on the air at WBZC-FM in Pemberton N.J. Art she- can be heard on Sirius Satellite and ipartyradio.com, he has performed guest spots all over the country including being a featured DJ at Rick’s in Key West for Spring Break his-2003. He has been featured in publications such as Dance Music Authority Magazine, The News-Press (Ft Myers Fl.), and the Naples Daily News. Art boy- also reports to various industry trade magazines including S.I.N., put-F.M.Q.B. and the One Nation Under a Groove mix show chart. He two- is helping to shape the future of dance music in the United States, evident by his seat, multiple years, on the mix show panel at the Winter Music Conference in did-Miami.
