Sky Ferreira Reveals When New Music Is Coming

Sky Ferreira's quiet spell is coming to an end with the alt-pop singer promising new music “very soon”. But first, she needs to get healthy.

Ð?оÑ?ожее изобÑ?ажение

The wait for new Sky Ferreira music may soon be over. Today, Ferreira shared what she calls the “official first photo from upcoming music release.” Check it out below. Ferreira recently revealed that her “heavily visual” new EP is on the way, with new music coming “in February, or March, for sure.” Her last album, Night Time, My Time, arrived in 2013. Last year, she appeared in the new season of “Twin Peaks” and in the film Baby Driver.

"No matter how hard I tried, it was beyond me. I couldn't say anything because of the possibility that it would make things worse…It has been genuine tasking on my soul & so frustrating. I stuck to my guns & that makes the process a lot longer than you would expect it to."

"The only reason I can’t put a ton of new music all at once is because I’m ill & have been for a while. I have to get completely better so I can tour & actually promote it. I was misdiagnosed for a long time & I’m now just starting to actually recover. I am still putting out new music very soon though & have been working on it the entire time."

Sky Ferreira’s sophomore album Masochism is coming up next year, although there’s no official release date yet, and first single “Guardian” will be out sometime this summer. Today, Ferreira revealed two pieces of artwork for the album painted by Lucas David along with another short clip of new music

Lion Babe Takes A New Approach To A Holiday Classic

We just tried to give it a Sister Act, Lauryn Hill kinda vibe," Lion Babe producer Lucas Goodman tells us. This remix is something holiday traditionalists can still appreciate. Hervey points out, "A little one might have never heard of, but this might be a way for them to relate to it easier."

Jillian Hervey, 27, is one amazing singer! Her band, Lion Babe, just released a brand new track titled, “Rockets,” featuring Moe Moks. There’s no music video yet, but you can hear a snippet of the song off Jillian’s Twitter and Soundcloud. It’s a cool mix of reggae, electronic, and a whole lot of swag.

Catch the brand-new take on "Auld Lang Syne," below, and make sure to interact with its social media presence—for each comment, Segura Viudas will be donating $25 to Women in Music, a nonprofit that empowers women in the music industry.

As we approach the holidays and the end of 2018, the oft-repeated maxim of "new year, new me" can feel a bit, well, cliché. Same goes with the schlocky songs that come with the season. Lion Babe gets that, and have figured out a way to make one NYE classic feel fresh and relatable again with a remix of "Auld Lang Syne."

"We just tried to incorporate parts of the classic song that we felt were important like the guitar, but make it more contemporary for our time now. We just made minor tweaks and it made the song so much more powerful, and it made it come from the female voice. She's the one saying 'She's a lady.' She's the one claiming her own identity."

Zayn And Nicki Minaj Teamed Up For A New Song

Zayn Malik teamed up with rapper Nicki Minaj for a new song, “No Candle No Light,” and it’s not what fans were expecting! The track, which dropped on Nov. 15, has a tropical feel, and while it’s upbeat overall, the lyrics are actually all about lost love! Nicki starts out the track, with a verse all on her own, but Zayn soon joins her, and the two sing in perfect harmony.

"I can’t do it, no baby, I can’t do it//I only end up losing, who are we fooling..."

Ð?аÑ?Ñ?инки по запÑ?осÑ? Zayn And Nicki Minaj Teamed Up For A New Song

The new music from Zayn comes just one week after the solo singer revealed he isn’t in touch with his former One Direction bandmates anymore. The singer admitted that things fell apart between him and the 1D guys before he even left the band back in 2015! People had claimed that Zayn was messaging Cardi B about 'No Candle No Light' but fans have revealed that the Nicki Minaj collab was actually recorded over a year ago.

Malik has released a number of songs in 2018 including “Let Me,” “Entertainer,” “Sour Diesel,” “Too Much” with Timbaland and “Fingers.” The pop star has yet to announce a release date or detail the track list for his upcoming second solo album following the release of 2016’s Mind of Mine.

As Billboard points out, Zayn and Nicki’s song tells the story of “a couple whose relationship has run its course” and includes such lines as “Hand on your hand/ Chest on your chest/ Tangled in bed/ But I’m feeling you less.” In the song, the pair take turns singing and then join up for the chorus.

Earlier this month, Malik made headlines when he admitted to not having made friends during his tenure in One Direction. Hopefully, a working relationship with Minaj could lead to even more bops and an introduction to some new pals.

John Mayer Decided To Get Sober After Drake’s 30th Birthday Party

"If I were to tell other people how they could do it, it just is so particular to your own spirit and your own psychology that it’s almost impossible to develop one way of explaining it to someone else."

Ð?аÑ?Ñ?инки по запÑ?осÑ? John Mayer Decided To Get Sober After Drakeâ??s 30th Birthday Party

The 41-year-old singer and musician said in a new interview with Complex that he quit drinking after making "quite a fool" of himself at Drake's celebration in October 2016.

John Mayer is a changed man. In addition to being marginally less of a dick, according to him, Mayer has also been sober for two years, indirectly because of Drake. As Mayer tells it toComplex, he has the “most amazing last-night-of-my-life-drinking story” and he’s not wrong. The last time Mayer drank was at Drake’s 30th birthday party in October 2016 where at least 2 of his 500 sexual conquests (or just celeb exes), Katy Perry and Taylor Swift, were also in attendance.

I would love to be sitting in here and saying, ‘I have nothing to say about Kanye because he’s somewhere treating himself or he’s somewhere being OK,’” he continues. "I’m not gonna shy away from the Kanye conversation because it’s like an MMA fight where the guy’s not tapping out and his ref isn’t calling the fight. So he’s still a topic of conversation and I cannot wait until the day it would insensitive to talk about him. I can’t wait. Please, do us the favor of making it seem a little unsavory and a little tacky to talk about it because you tapped out. Please, tap out. I tapped out. Tap out.

"One year ago today, i decided to give drinking a break. A very personal thing for everyone. For me, a constant return on investment," he wrote. "I post this because I want people to know that 'that's enough for now' is on the menu, so to speak."

A "devastated" Miley Cyrus tweeted Sunday that she had lost her home to the raging California wildfires.

The singer tweeted that the house she shares with her fiance, the Australian actor Liam Hemsworth, and her pets "no longer stands," but that everyone including the animals were evacuated safely.

Completely devestated by the fires affecting my community,’ she shared with her 40.4 million followers. ‘I am one of the lucky ones. My animals and LOVE OF MY LIFE made it out safely & that’s all that matters right now. My house no longer stands but the memories shared with family & friends stand strong. I am grateful for all I have left.’ Thanking the emergency services and calling on her fans to help support the relief efforts, she added: ‘Sending so much love and gratitude to the firefighters and LA country Sheriff’s department! If you are interested in getting involved see next tweet…. Donate $ , Time , Supplies I love you more than ever , Miley.’

On Sunday, Young posted a statement regarding the destruction of his house on the Neil Young Archives site Wednesday. “Firefighters have never seen anything like this in their lives,” Young said. “I have heard that said countless times in the past two days, and I have lost my home before to a California fire, now another.”

Young also criticized President Donald Trump’s tweets, in which he accused California of “gross mismanagement of the forests” and threatened to cut off federal payments. “California is vulnerable – not because of poor forest management as DT (our so-called president) would have us think,” Young replied. “We are vulnerable because of Climate Change; the extreme weather events and our extended drought is part of it.”

It's no longer just me, myself and I with G-Eazy -- he's got a cute little blonde babe hangin' off his arm now ... and all signs point to a successful rebound post-Halsey.

At the current time, the answer appears to be no. That said, the former couple has hinted at the possibility of reconciling in the near future. They were clearly comfortable with one another onstage, as shown by the photos that G-Eazy posted on Instagram that showed them getting close.

“Make some noise for the most beautiful woman on this planet right now,” he said during their performance. After their performance was over, he again praised his ex, saying: “Make some mother f**king noise for the queen, Halsey.”

A source tells E! that G-Eazy and his date "had a past friendship and knew each other from mutual friends in the industry," and that as of now the relationship is "nothing serious," because "G-Eazy isn't dating one person exclusively."

Here's what two body language experts had to say about whether or not Halsey and G-Eazy's body language means all our dreams have come true, and they are, indeed, back together.

The “Bad at Love” singer, 23, fueled split speculation last month after she deleted all of the Instagram photos featuring the 29-year-old rapper. She later confirmed they were taking time apart with an Instagram message to fans on July 3: “I normally keep this kind of thing private but provided our public nature I feel the need to inform my fans. G-Eazy and I are taking some time apart. I’m eager to continue the upcoming passage of time dedicating myself to my art and my career, and the duration of my tour. I wish him the best. Thanks for respecting our privacy at this time.”

Zayn Malik Just Confirmed That Taylor Swift Really Does Travel IN Suitcases

Did Zayn Malik Just Confirm Those Taylor Swift Suitcase Conspiracy Theories?

Ð?аÑ?Ñ?инки по запÑ?осÑ? Zayn Malik Just Confirmed That Taylor Swift Really Does Travel IN Suitcases

Just to rewind to where this delicious story begins, this rumour began to circulate during the summer of 2017 after some photos popped up on the website of Splash News, an agency known for suppyling news publications with paparazzi pics.

These and several other incidents of buff security men carrying the same big ol’ suitcase in and out of her home came about during a time when the world hadn’t seen Tay for a comparatively long time. This was post-Tom Hiddleston, pre-Reputation Taylor, and everyone was worried about our gal thus the obscene lengths we all went to explain her absence from our lives. Notably: she lives in a giant suitcase now.

I cannot stress how elaborately deep this conspiracy went, to the extent people were looking up her exact height and scientifically analysing the feasibility of her fitting inside a giant box. So try to understand how excited I am that FINALLY, we have more evidence to confirm Taylor’s Prison Break-esque transport technique is a real thing.

Praise be to supreme snacc Zayn for throwing fuel on the embers of this theory by casually dropping this little tidbit in a recent interview with Vogue: “She was travelling around in a suitcase,” he says, eyes agog, of his pal Taylor Swift’s ability to avoid the paparazzi.

Hell yeah, his eyes are bloody agog as he just inadvertently released into the wild the well-protected secret truth about the world’s biggest pop star. SwiftySuitcaseGate is real. We’re through the looking glass here people.

Zayn has not only worked with Taylor but is dating one of her best friends, Gigi Hadid, so you'd imagine he would have some form of insider info. Then again, perhaps this is his idea of a little joke, so who knows.

1. She's a Member of THE Baldwin Family

Her father is Stephen Baldwin, known particularly for his roles in The Usual Suspectsand Born on the Fourth of July. You may know some of her famous actor uncles, Daniel Baldwin, William Baldwin and yes, Alec Baldwin. Her cousin Ireland, daughter of Alec Baldwin and his ex-wife Kim Basinger, is also a high profile fashion model and actress.

2. She Was Homeschooled

After eighth grade, Baldwin became homeschooled in order to live a more private life and get away from the constant attention that came with being in a famous family.

"The thing that was annoying about having an uncle that's on 30 Rock is that kids don't understand it," Baldwin has said. "They’re like, ‘What?’ Then they’re like, ‘You have to go away to LA with your dad, what?’ And they didn’t get that. And that’s what I’ve struggled with my whole life, in school too.”

3. She Began Professional Modeling in 2014

Baldwin got her foot in the modeling door in 2014 during a commercial debut in a campaign for French Connection. She signed to New York agency Ford Models in that same year.

Baldwin then moved up the ranks in the modeling world, becoming the face of Guess in 2017 and participating in campaigns for Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hillfiger.

4. You Can See Her on TV

Baldwin was tapped by The Late Late Show host James Corden to co-host his late-night reality show Drop The Mic with rapper Method Man. Airing on TBS, the show has featured well-known names on it's current season, including Shawn Mendes, Seth Rogen and Shaquille O'Neal.

She also co-hosted the iHeart Radio Music Awards in March alongside DJ Khaled.

5. She's a Longtime Friend of the Kardashian/Jenner Fam

Baldwin is a close family friend of the Kardashians, and more specifically, of fellow model Kendall Jenner. The two work together often in various fashion campaigns and shows, and often post pictures together from the events.

The actual wedding could take place next year—or next week.

Baldwin told The Cut that the wedding will be in 2019, but "sources connected with the couple" told TMZ that she and Bieber could be exchanging vows "as early as next week."

In the state of New York, a marriage license is valid for 60 days. So if Justin and Hailey's application was approved yesterday, they could be saying "I do" in the next two months.

Emily Eavis hints at Glastonbury 2019 headline act

Unsurprisingly there has been a lot of speculation surrounding who the three headliners will be at Glastonbury Festival 2019.

With the world-renowned event taking a break this year, the rumor mill has been in overdrive ahead of next year's return with festival-goers and bookies alike trying to second guess who will be taking the Pyramid Stage by storm on the three main nights of the Somerset spectacular.

Ð?аÑ?Ñ?инки по запÑ?осÑ? Emily Eavis hints at Glastonbury 2019 headline act

Liam Gallagher has become a bookies favourite to headline Glastonbury Festival 2019 as a solo act.

Betway have tipped the former Oasis frontman for the top spot on the Somerset festival's Pyramid Stage, giving him fresh odds of 7/4.

The Supersonic legend had previously been an outsider at 8/1 in September, behind the likes of Arctic Monkeys and ABBA, but the Wall Of Glass singer now heads their list.

Betway’s Alan Alger said: “Betting on who’ll headline Glastonbury tends to go quiet for a bit and then all of a sudden we notice a string of bets for a certain artist.

“Liam Gallagher is now the act that everyone wants to back and he heads the betting to secure a headline slot on the Pyramid Stage at just 7/4."

The legendary Beatle last headlined the festival in 2004, but he could be primed to return to Pyramid Stage this year as he releases his 17th solo album, Egypt Station in September.

If that evidence wasn't compelling enough, speaking to the BBC, the Emily Eavis said the artist playing the Sunday legends slot will be a "non-British female" and that Paul McCartney is always on the top their list to headline the festival.

Kylie Minogue has also been strongly rumoured to play the Sunday legends slot.

“She jumped at the opportunity to appear next year and it is the perfect way to celebrate her career.”

This does fit with Emily Eavis's previous hint that the act booked to play the legends slot was a woman and not British.

The Queen of Pop was tipped for the headline slot, with The Sun reporting that she was in talks with organisers in a bid to secure a female headliner.

This year saw the annual Worthy Farm shindig take a year off for the first time since 2012, as organiser Michael Eavis gave the farm time to recover. But it’s back in 2019 and while we’re yet to have the headliners and artists confirmed, there have been plenty of rumours already. Here’s everything you need to know about the 2019 festival – including where and how to get your tickets.

A Star Is Born’ Gets New Trigger Warning In New Zealand

"Star was born" is currently released in New Zealand with a trigger warning because of a Bradley Cooper story "Jackson Man".

“Suicide has affected many people in New Zealand,” said Shanks of The Guardian . “For those who have lost someone close to them, a warning gives them the opportunity to make an informed choice regarding viewing.” According to The Guardian's report , the police support for victims in New Zealand shared that two young men were “seriously called” by the conclusion of a film in which hero Bradley Cooper hanged himself after a battle with alcoholism. According to the report, the Mental Health Foundation also filed separate complaints about the classification card index.

The Star of Cooper is a remake of the 1976 film starring Barbra Streisand and Chris Kristofferson, who himself is a remake of the 1954 film starring Judy Garland and James Mason. The male leader always plays older, more famous artists, and he dies in every version. In 1976, he was involved in a car accident, and in the 1954 version, Mason's character enters the ocean and drowns himself.

No one should enter the screening " Star of the Motherland", without waiting for the feeling of some things. But, despite the fact that this is the fourth remake of the film, not everyone is ready for how raw this ending is. That's why New Zealand added a mental health alert to the show for Bradley Cooper and the likely winner of Oscar Lady Gaga, as reported by The Guardian .

“The first complaint concerned the support of the police victims who reported that they responded to two vulnerable young people who were seriously affected by this scene.”

After complaints from viewers, the New Zealand Film Classification Commission demanded that the movie screen with a warning about suicide - two teenagers reported that it was caused by the content of its final scenes. The mental health commission also complained to the commission.

Model Slick Woods went in to labour during Rihanna's Savage x Fenty lingerie show

What an impossible night to top! Slick Woods went straight from walking Rihanna’s runway to giving birth to her first child. We’ve got all the details on her incredible story!

Accessories: Slick also rocked glitter-adorned stockings for her catwalk strut

The beauty had just started the early stages of labor before showing off her naked baby bump at Rihanna's Savage x Fenty runway show duringNew York Fashion Week on Wednesday night.

Slick was also in good company on the Savage x Fenty runway. While she stole the show in black pasties and cutout lace lingerie as one of the two pregnant women included, Gigi, 23, and Bella Hadid, 21, looked lovely in their lingerie looks as well. The older Hadid sis was in a dark green bra and panty set with matching knee-high fishnets, a cardigan and a head piece. White flowers dotted her body and her hair. Bella was in baby blue, wearing lacy lingerie, sheer gloves, nude stockings and a furry coat off of her shoulders. Her makeup matched, and she had her hair in a top knot. So gorgeous!

The model stunned on the catwalk wearing a black string one-piece, gold glittering sheer stockings and pointed nipple covers - and the ensemble was paired with chunky gold hoops and a black velvet headband.

It's not surprising the star decided to walk whilst pregnant, as she has previously said her pregnancy has made her view her body in a totally different way.

She said: "I now see my body as something that nourishes my child.

"I used to treat it as an accessory. I have a newfound appreciation for who I am as a woman, my body, and what I can do. I'm happy I'm experiencing it so young."

KT Tunstall Channels Warrior Energy In Her New “Human Being” Video

KT Tunstall has unveiled her empowering new video for “Human Being,” a track off the Scottish singer’s new album Wax.

"I've gone through my dad dying, I've gone through a divorce, I've gone through selling everything I owned and moving continents and relocating to Venice Beach, California, which I highly recommend if anybody has a crazy midlife crisis."

Ð?аÑ?Ñ?инки по запÑ?осÑ? Energy In Her New â??Human Beingâ? Video

My vision for the video was to create a mirror between a young, crazy-talented, bold little girl, and link that burgeoning energy to a band of warrior women who have achieved their goal of turning their young talents into something very real and powerful as working musicians and performers,” Tunstall said of the video in a statement.

I'm a huge fan of John Hughes movies, and I'm an '80s kid, so all of that imagery from that time is kind of my childhood. It's my coming of age. Also the song, "Human Being," was certainly inspired very much by [Giorgio] Moroder, who produced Blondie. That was something that we were looking to as inspiration. The analog synthesizer sound in that song is very much of that time, and we used the old, real instruments. It was just a time that I remember, there were these really kick-ass rock women. The first woman I remember seeing on the TV was Kim Wilde, and she was doing "Kids in America." That was the first time I'd really seen a rock 'n' roll chick on TV, because I grew up with Whitney Houston and Madonna and, you know, Wham! and Prince and Michael Jackson, and they're the most incredible artists, but they weren't artists that I looked at and went, "Ooh, I want to do that." It was definitely a time where there was very strong female energy.

I knew before I started writing that I wanted it to be an electric guitar record,” Tunstall previously said of Wax. “It had to be visceral, about the physical, and the obstacles of that. It’s a record about human-ness, which we so often just write off as ‘flaws’. Wax evokes colonies of bees, candlelight, the material that the first long-playing records were made of, but more than that, wax is produced inside your own head.”

Dinah Jane Is Stepping Out On Her Own

For a lady that needs no introduction, Dinah Jane isn’t fretting about re-introducing herself to the world. After six years as part of pop super group Fifth Harmony, she’s finally stepping out into her own spotlight for the first time since her X Factor audition back in 2012.

"I just wanted to step into me being a woman as well. Not being afraid to talk about things that actually are real. There [were] no barriers when I wrote this one with him."

Ð?оÑ?ожее изобÑ?ажение

“I wasn’t really stressing about which song should be my ‘debut,’” she muses over the phone from Beverly Hills. “I remember walking with L.A. Reid [music industry mastermind and former X Factor judge] and he was like, ‘Yo! This is the song! It lays heavy on my heart. I know it’s the one, there’s something about it.’” Yet to be released when we chat, Jane spills the secrets of “Bottled Up”, the track to represent the new-born and redefined version of herself.

Solo life also brings up other perks for the 21-year-old too, most notably not relying on others to get to work. “Three of us would always be on time and two girls would be behind or it would be the other way round,” Jane laughs. “Now I can rely on my own schedule.” Touching on lateness and how it reflects on everybody in the group, she confirms that slacking off is a thing of the past: “Now I have to take it up a notch and be more serious with myself.”

When she was working on the track with Bassy, she remembers being “afraid and very timid,” but she says he told her: “'No, no, no. Get your hands on this record because it’s something special. It has to come from you, of what you feel and what you see.'” The track, which was originally a ballad, got sped up, and Dinah Jane says she didn’t “let fear get in the way of the subject or let people think this is far off from who I am.”

As an already fully-fledged pop star, there’s a whirl of other sounds circulating the mind of this Californian gal. “R&B, reggae, soul…” She begins. “At the beginning of this year it was kind of trial and error for me, but I remember it being that way only because I was just stepping out of Fifth Harmony and coming into my own, trying to figure out who I was as an individual.”

The younger Centineo did eventually agree to audition and he ended up signing with the talent agency. After taking some acting classes, he went on to sign with a series of larger talent agencies while booking work as a child model for outlets like the Macy's catalogue, he says.

From there, Centineo started auditioning for television and movie roles. At 13, he landed a part in the 2009 Steve Guttenberg comedy "The Gold Retrievers."

And according to his IMDB page, Centineo also has three other movies coming up: Swiped, The Stand-In, and The Diary. It's unclear if he'll have a leading role in any of the flicks, but it's great to know we're at least being blessed with more Noah.

Until then, I'll be keeping "Havana" on repeat. So if anyone needs me, you know where I'll be.

To All the Boys I Loved Before is definitely Noah's breakout role, but it wasn't his first foray into acting. He was also in several Disney shows, as well as in Freeform's The Fosters. The Fosters' Twitter page is currently being *extremely* extra about how they discovered him first.

Emma Stone Is A Bigger Spice Girl Stan Than You

Little known fact: Emma Stone’s real first name is Emily. Another not-so-little-known fact: Emma Stone loves the Spice Girls.

She’s a bona fide A-lister, with roles in several big-budget blockbusters under her belt.

But Emma Stone proved she’s as down to earth as anyone in Hollywood, legitimately tearing up after receiving a video message from Spice Girl Melanie 'Mel B' Brown on Thursday.

It all happened during an interview with 2DayFM’s Merrick Watts and Sophie Monk, which ended with Stone, 25, singing the Spice Girls’ hit Wannabe at the request of Scary Spice herself.

Emma changed her name from Emily when she became an actress, but noted that the change actually happened years before.

“It wasn’t necessarily because of her, but yes, in Second Grade, did I go up to the teacher and ask her to call me Emma? Yes I did. And was it because of Emma Lee Bunton from the Spice Girls? Yes it was,” she admitted.

The superfan has big plans to catch the group on their six-show U.K. tour next summer, saying, “I saw them in concert in the ‘90s. I saw them at O2 Arena in 2008, and they recently announced a new tour and I will be going to that somehow. I don’t think tickets are on sale yet, but I’m gonna figure it out.”

People On Twitter Are Sharing The Stupidest Things They’ve Said To Celebrities

People On Twitter Are Sharing The Stupidest Things They’ve Said To Celebrities. Celebrities really are basically just like us. Except that, you know, they’re known to millions of other people and they have a lot more money than us and can’t go places in public without being bothered. But other than that, yeah, totally the same.

If you've ever daydreamed about meeting a celebrity—say, Taylor Swift or Lady Gaga—you've likely imagined the best-case scenario. You and the superstar instantly hit it off; you take a cute picture; and maybe they even remember you the next time you bump into each other in the meet-and-greet line or at Whole Foods. But as one Twitter account pointed out this week, that's truly the best-case situation—and sometimes, the interactions go awry thanks to a little case of being starstruck.

Here are 25 things to be aware of on Twitter:

  1. Not leaving enough space to retweet. The first lesson every Twitter newbie should learn: just because you have 140 characters, doesn’t mean you need to use them all. It’s usually a good idea to keep posts to about 120 characters to allow people who retweet with the RT format the ability to do so without having to edit your tweet for length.

  2. Not shortening links in your Tweets. This is one of the most common mistakes and it doesn’t need to be. Check out link shorteners like bit.ly or ow.ly You’ll also be able to track the number of clicks the links you’re sharing get with these tools.

  3. Looooong Twitter handles. Are you noticing a pattern? If your handle is longer than the first half of your tweet, you’re losing valuable space. Keep handles as short as possible so you have enough room to actually write something.

  4. Too much self-promotion. A little self-promotion is good for any business but if your timeline is riddled with “I’s or We’s” and your only retweets are about you, then you’re doing too much. Follow the 80/20 rule. Post 80% helpful or entertaining content and save 20% for the self-promotional stuff.

  5. #HashtagAbuse. Hashtags are without a doubt the most interesting part of Twitter. But in addition to sometimes being hilarious, they are extremely helpful for organization purposes. Don’t abuse the hashtag, save it for when you need it.

  6. Not responding to Tweets. If you’re not being social, why are you on social media? You might not be able to respond to everything, but do your best to answer questions and address any negative feedback. And don’t forget to say thanks when it’s positive.

  7. Automatic direct messages. Too many people send automatic direct messages to new followers. Don’t do this. You don’t want the first impression that you make on your customers to be from a robot.

  8. Too much negativity. No one wants to follow a depressing tweeter. Keep your tweets positive and your followers will act accordingly.

  9. QR code avatar. Nowadays you see QR codes in some crazy places, don’t let your Twitter account be one of them. Make your avatar something that reflects you or your brand.

  10. Too much abbreviation. Sometimes you’re going to have to abbreviate but try not to abandon grammar to the point of being unreadable.

  11. Spelling errors. Spelling errors are going to happen but try to keep them to a minimum. People will notice them and it can make your business look sloppy. Review before you hit send. (Watch for some common misspellings, like There/Their/They’re and Your/You’re.)

  12. Tweeting without a strategy. Never tweet just for the sake of tweeting. Take some time to decide why you’re on Twitter and what you want to get from it. Let that guide your content.

  13. Too much dialogue, not enough content. Twitter is all about sharing content. You want to engage with followers but you also want to give them content that makes them engage with you.

  14. Too much content, not enough dialogue. Confused yet? It’s all about finding a balance. Unless you’re a news outlet, then I’m looking for more than just news. Use your content to drive engagement from your followers and start a discussion.

  15. Only tweeting 9-5. No one expects your Twitter to be a 24/7 operation but your followers don’t log off when you go home for the day. Hootsuite is a great option for managing and scheduling tweets.

  16. Tweeting without the facts. This is the number one way to hurt your credibility and tick your followers off. Be a helpful source of information in your industry, not a rumor mill.

  17. Tweeting too often. There’s no set formula for how much you should be tweeting. But unless you’re the most interesting person in the world, chances are if you’re clogging up their timeline they’ll get turned off in a hurry.

  18. USING TOO MANY CAPS AND EXCLAMATION POINTS!!!! You wouldn’t yell at your customers in person, don’t do it on Twitter. Use sparingly for maximum impact.

  19. Bad talking competition. If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. Building connections is a great way to build your following and many of your competitors’ followers would likely be happy to follow you too.

  20. Not connecting your business website to your Twitter account. Don’t let your business be part of that group. They’re missing potential followers and most importantly customers.

  21. Outdated Twitter profile. Your profile says a lot about who you are. Tell people what you’re all about and give them a reason to follow. And make sure it’s up-to-date.

  22. Responding with the same answer from multiple admins. It’s good to respond to people’s tweets, but if multiple people are tweeting from your handle, get on the same page and agree on the right voice for your brand.

  23. Facebook/Twitter overflow. Connecting your Facebook and Twitter feeds might seem like a good idea but if your Twitter is solely just a feed for your Facebook, then it defeats the purpose of being on Twitter in the first place.

  24. Asking too many questions. A question can be a great way to get feedback or start a conversation but if you’re constantly asking, “How’s everyone doing?!” and no one is answering then it’s not adding to the conversation.

  25. Not sharing the love. If people are promoting you on Twitter, show them some love back. A retweet can go a long way on Twitter and so can mentioning someone when you share their article or post.
