Megan Fox Thought She Wouldn’t Be A “Sympathetic Victim” For #MeToo

Megan Fox said she worried she wouldn’t be seen as a “sympathetic victim” so she kept quiet about “quite a few stories” during the heat of the #MeToo movement.

“I didn’t speak out for many reasons. I just didn’t think based on how I’d been received by people, and by feminists, that I would be a sympathetic victim,” the 32-year-old actress revealed to the New York Times in an article published Friday.

Fox said that she has "quite a few stories" she could have told as legions of women and men in Hollywood were inspired to come forward about their own experiences within the industry after accusations against Harvey Weinstein opened the floodgates in the fall of 2017.

Fox has previously opened up about uncomfortable moments in her career. In a 2009 interview with Wonderland magazine, she said she became frustrated with Transformers director Michael Bay when he directed her to "be hot" or to "be sexy" on set. In that same interview, Fox said that Bay "wants to be like Hitler on his sets," which drew controversy and overshadowed her comments about Bay's questionable directives.

Later that year, Fox said in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel that on the set of Bad Boys II, when she was only 15 years old, that Bay ordered her to dance under a waterfall while wearing a bikini and six-inch heels.

Because of how her comments were received nearly a decade ago, Fox said she was scared to be an active participant in today's cultural climate charged with female empowerment. She also suggested that her previous statements might have been "ahead of my time."

"I don’t know if there will ever be a time where I’m considered normal or relatable or likable."

"When articles are read it isn't always considered that for hours I've spoken with a journalist about my life, where my heart is, my perspective at that time, and the next step in my career," she wrote.

Me and Mark have kind of said I think “Mine” is a little heavier than [“Nothing Breaks Like A Heart”]. A song that him and I have done together is more rock driven, modern Debbie Harry kind of Joan Jett. Then, we’ve got songs with Mike Will that lean more hip-hop and songs with Andrew Wyatt who’s from Miike Snow so it leans a little bit more pop/alternative. I just have kind of everything.

"I have always and will continue to love and celebrate hip hop as I've collaborated with some of the very best."

The 24-year-old also says she didn't mean that she didn't like hip-hop at all now but says she's enjoying more "uplifting, conscious rap".

"As I get older I understand the effect music has on the world & Seeing where we are today I feel the younger generation needs to hear positive powerful lyrics."

We’re still skeptical, but, as long as we’re not getting a Bangerz repeat or more controversial comments, we’ll be okay.

On the other side of her recent musical polarity has been psychedelic warrior Wayne Coyne of The Flaming Lips, who collaborated with Cyrus on a series of trippy, experimental works including the truly bizarre free download LP Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz.

Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn Might Get Engaged Soon

"I didn’t seek out advice on that because I know what I feel about it."

Ð?аÑ?Ñ?инки по запÑ?осÑ? Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn Might Get Engaged Soon

It’s been two years since Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn started dating, so, naturally, fans are an expecting an engagement anytime now. But it could it be even sooner than we think? According to a source for Us Weekly, the British actor is planning on proposing to the American singer “soon,” so brace yourself, the end of Taylor Swift breakup songs is coming.

Despite their private relationship, Swift has been more serious with Alwyn than any boyfriend in the past, according to the source. Apparently, her British boyfriend feels the same, which is why he’s planning on putting a ring on her finger—as soon as he thinks of an “unforgettable” proposal fit for a pop star. “Joe is very keen on proposing soon,” the source said. “But he wants to make it unforgettable and extremely special.”

Swift and Alwyn have kept things low profile but have been visibly out together this month. Last week, the two were photographed in New York City arriving back at Swift's apartment. Swift had done a surprise performance at the Ally Coalition's Talent Show that Alwyn supported her at.

And this weekend, Swift was at the London premiere and after party of Alwyn's latest film, Mary, Queen of Scots. She kept her appearance as off-camera as possible, skipping the red carpet. One of Alwyn's co-stars shared a photo of her at the after party, the only publicly-shared photo-evidence that her appearance happened.

He went on to add that their relationship has never been public property: "I think there’s a very clear line as to what somebody should share, or feel like they have to share, and what they don’t want to and shouldn’t have to."

If he *does* pop the question, it sounds like the proposal probably won't make it to Instagram.

Britney Spears Meets Nine Inch Nails On Betta Lemme’s New Track

It may be hard to believe but Marilyn Manson, the Nine Inch Nails, and Britney Spears all have something in common. Their songs are on a list of tracks used during interrogations at detention centers around the world, giving new meaning to the phrase, “that song is torture.”

“Not all of me is glittery,” Lemme says, expanding upon the shift in sound. “Something about this song felt powerful and cinematic. Upon playing it, we could all transport and picture our own film in our heads.” She adds later, “Plus, it sounds like the offspring of Britney Spears and Nine Inch Nails and that in itself makes me very happy.” You have to hear it to believe it.

"You lose the plot and it’s very scary to think that you might go crazy because of all the music, because of the loud noise, and because after a while you don’t hear the lyrics at all, all you hear is heavy banging."

Marilyn Manson seemed proud of the fact that his song made the list as he posted it on Twitter. There’s no word yet on whether Britney Spears, Nine Inch Nails or any of the artists on the list have heard about it.

As Mic reported back in 2014, music has been in the CIA’s torture toolbox for several years now. It’s use started around the genesis of the enhanced interrogation program post 9/11.

Al Jazeera reports that in 2002, a man named Abu Zubaydah was reportedly transported in a pet carrier and chained to the ceiling of his cell and forced to listen to songs by The Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Grande wrote of the track on Wednesday, “I would say if ‘Thank U, Next’ = acceptance… ‘Imagine’ = denial. Hope that makes sense.” She continued in response to a fan, “Kind of like… pretending it never ended. Denial. But I look forward to you hearing it and having your own experience with it. You may take away something totally different and specific to your life! Love u.”

Knew you were perfect after the first kiss / Took a deep breath like 'Oooh' / Feels like forever, baby, I never / Thought that it would be you / Tell me your secrets, all of the creep s--t / That's how I know it's true," the lyrics continue.

"A lot of this album mourns failed yet important, beautiful relationships in my life (as well as celebrates growth / exploring new independence)," Grande wrote on Instagram Stories. "But for those of you asking about 'Imagine': I would say if 'Thank U, Next' = acceptance... 'Imagine' = denial. Hope that makes sense."

Grande had revealed on Twitter on Thursday that her Thank U, Next album contains 13 tracks. The title song, which references her past relationships with the likes of the late Mac Miller and most recently, ex-fiancé Pete Davidson, dropped in early November. At the end of that month, she released a music video for it. The clip parodies four hit early '00s films—Mean Girls, Legally Blonde, Bring It On and 13 Going on 30.

Grande's Thank U, Next album, her fifth major record, is expected to be released next year.

"We're finalizing these mixes and arrangements now," Grande tweeted on Wednesday. "I'm very happy with all of it. Lots of strings so. You know me. My heart meltssss."

The Grammy nominations always come with at least a few surprises, but in all the major categories, these 2019 nominations reflect an increased recognition of the extreme artistry and talent women brought to the music industry over the past year. They’ve always been contributing strong releases, no doubt, but the awarding-powers-that-be have been slow to take note. This year, women dominated the big categories—especially queer women, and women of color— to the point where the nominated men felt like more of an afterthought

Take, for example, Album of the Year. Janelle Monae’s Dirty Computer; H.E.R.’s self-titled release; my lesbian country queen Brandi Carlile’s By The Way, I Forgive You; Kacey Musgraves’s Golden Hour; and Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy are all clearly deserving and groundbreaking in their own unique ways, but their male counterparts?

Drake’s Scorpion and Kendrick Lamar’s Black Panther are definitely strong albums (albeit, Scorpion was underwhelming compared to the rapper’s previous releases). But Post Malone’s Beerbongs & Bentleys feels more like a nod to his strong, dedicated fanbase, rather than the actual music, which pales in comparison to the social commentary and sonic masterpiece that is Dirty Computer; and certainly does not stand up to the steady stream of bops that built up to be Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy.

As the Grammys grapple with identity, some of the most popular names in music have opted out of the show, whose viewership dropped 24 percent this year to a nine-year low. In 2017, Drake, who has 42 career nods, was nominated for eight awards and won two, but declined to appear at the ceremony, saying later that he felt “alienated” from the institution. The next year, the rapper declined to submit his “More Life” project for consideration, following in the footsteps of Frank Ocean, and once again did not attend.

The “Best New Artist” category, which was the only category won by a solo female artist last year, had six female nominees: Bebe Rexha, Jorja Smith, H.E.R., Dua Lipa, Margo Price, and Chloe X Halle.

The recording academy said it had received more than 21,000 submissions across 84 categories; recordings released from Oct. 1, 2017, to Sept. 30, 2018, were eligible

L’FREAQ Gets Freaky In New Video

"This song is about concealing oneself; it could be from a lover or a friend, but in my case I wrote it about those who don’t know the ‘real’ me over social media, only a self that I choose to project,” L’FREAQ tells BUST of the track, called “Moonlight."

The artist’s upcoming EP was mixed and produced by Mike Irish. L’FREAQ’s mom, photographer Kelly Cappelli, shot all the cover and promotional art and executive produced the video. The album focuses on themes of self-discovery, liberation, and adventure, and shortly after its release, L’FREAQ will be on tour.

Keep up with the artist on Facebook, Twitter, and Soundcloud, and check out the video below, exclusively on BUST.

I had the pleasure of interviewing L’FREAQ, which is the alias of Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter Lea Cappelli...

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

Igrew up an only child in Arizona with a fantastically artistic mother. She painted me, photographed me, and let me watch her create. This naturally led me to seek my own talents, which instead of using my hands to create art, was my voice. My mother brought me to vocal lessons at a very young age, where originally I was convinced I would be an opera singer. Then, at 12 years old, I discovered jazz. And at 16, started writing my own music. It was a long progression.

Can you share the most interesting story that occurred to you in the course of your music career?

When I performed for Muhammad Ali at a small dinner party of eight, I was nervous. I sang and played guitar for him, and we sat down to eat dinner together. At the time the only thing he could eat after dark was ice cream. I couldn’t believe I was in the presence of such a legend. I was nervous to look at him the whole night, so I kept my head down while the guests chatted. Finally, I mustered the courage to look up at him. He turned to me and winked.

What are some of the most interesting or exciting projects you are working on now?

My new five song EP, Weird Awakenings, has been an incredible journey to create. We’ve made a detailed music video for each of the three singles, with the upcoming single “New Skin” as one of my favorites. I’m very visually inclined so it’s fun to watch the songs come to life. We went through a lot to make each one, especially “Moonlight,” where I was hanging in rope bondage for hours. That was a shoot I’ll never forget. It became so painful after so long of being suspended that I had to have all six people on set help hoist me down.

You are a person of great influence. If you could start a movement that would bring the most amount of good to the most amount of people, what would that be? You never know what your idea can trigger.

Acceptance! There is too much intolerance in this world nowadays. Being raised with the internet is both a blessing and a curse. There is unlimited knowledge at your fingertips, but so much hatred that comes with it. Part of the L’FREAQ name, like anti-bullying and access to the arts, is also simply about accepting people for who they are.

"Don’t be surprised if the song strikes you as a fitting intro to a certain franchise of action films; “After listening multiple times, the song started sounding more and more Bond-like,” says Cappelli. “We wanted to pay homage to the original Bond intros while still keeping the emotional integrity of the track."

Did Madonna Just Try To Reignite Beef With Lady Gaga?

Did Madonna just take a shot at Lady Gaga? Is there still some bad blood between the two pop legends? Well, after a post on Madonna's Instagram story, that's what's what the internet is thinking!

Ð?оÑ?ожее изобÑ?ажение

People have been quick to point out that Gaga's word sound strikingly similar to Madonna's, and now Madge herself has taken notice and posted about it.

The pop icon previously feuded with Lady Gaga over the similarity of chord progressions between her “Express Yourself” and Gaga’s “Born This Way,” but, as Gaga had pointed out at the time, “It’s the same [chord progression] that’s been in disco music for the last 50 years. Just because I’m the first fucking artist in 25 years to think of putting it on Top 40 radio, it doesn’t mean I’m a plagiarist, it means that I’m fucking smart.”

"The only time I ever criticised Lady Gaga was when I felt like she blatantly ripped off one of my songs," she said. "It's got nothing to do with 'she's taking my crown' or 'she's in some space of mine.' She has her thing. I do think she's a very talented singer and songwriter. It was just that one issue."

But, did these posts try to reignite the beef? Even if so, as Jezebel points out, Lady Gaga has way better things going on right now and, likely, has no time to pay any mind to whatever Madonna is up to on the internet.

Gaga responded with a veiled insult in a 2016 interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1, disputing Lowe's claim that she and Madonna are alike by seemingly criticising Madonna for not playing instruments or writing music.

"Madonna and I are very different," Gaga said. "Just say, 'we're very different.' I wouldn't make that comparison at all and I don't mean to disrespect Madonna, she's a nice lady, and she's had a fantastic huge career, biggest pop star of all time. But I play a lot of instruments. I write all my own music. I spend hours a day in the studio. I'm a producer. I'm a writer. What I do is different."

Apparently, Cardi B Is Too Busy To Go To Court

Rapper Cardi B couldn’t hide her emotions in Queens criminal court Friday morning, rolling her eyes, sticking out her tongue — and eventually leaving with arms raised when a judge released her without bail.

Ð?аÑ?Ñ?инки по запÑ?осÑ? Apparently, Cardi B Is Too Busy To Go To Court

The judge stuck with the warning and Cardi’s lawyer said the message was “received loud and clear,” but still was outside saying Cardi is just simply too busy being a star:

"You all need to understand this is not about her saying, ‘Screw going to court. I got things to do. I’m important.’ She has managers, she has business people, she has things scheduled. So it’s not like we can just say, ‘Hey you got to come to court on Monday."

I’m going to try to use that “I’ve got manager, I’ve got business people, I’ve got things scheduled” bullshit excuse the next time I get called for jury duty. Let’s see how far I get. And when the all-important (in her head) Cardi B finally gets to court, she’ll probably throw a shoe at the judge when she says something he doesn’t like, which will result in him throwing the book at her by throwing her in the slammer, which will lead to her coming out with a new album: Belcaliz Of Vernon C. Bain Correctional.

The 26-year-old, born Belcalis Almanzar, surrendered to police in October after two bartenders at a Queens strip club accused her of attacking them. Cardi had just performed at the BET Hip Hop Awards in Miami Beach (she likes it here, obviou).

Well, here’s to hoping she doesn’t blow off Friday’s hearing.

"You should inform her that if she doesn’t show up to the arraignment on December 7, that unless the circumstances change, then it’s very likely the court will issue a bench warrant for her arrest," the judge reportedly told her lawyer, Jeff Kern.

The Only Good Thing On The Internet Is Britney Spears’ Instagram

You might not follow your mom on Instagram, but you should definitely follow someone else’s mom, that specific mom being Britney Spears, owner of the most joyful Instagram feed ever to exist.

Ð?аÑ?Ñ?инки по запÑ?осÑ? The Only Good Thing On The Internet Is Britney Spearsâ?? Instagram

In Britney’s world, fame isn’t an evil, it just is. It is the background condition to her life. And so she’s opened up the process of pop manufacture in a way that’s bizarrely authentic. Before Jennifer Lawrence turned the concept of relatable celebrity into a competitive sport, there was Britney Spears.

pears’ Instagram first became a widespread object of fascination in 2017, when she posted a video of herself—ponytail perched high on her head, cleavage perched high on her chest—painting in her backyard, a non-diegetic Mozart concerto tinkling in the background. The caption? “Sometimes you just gotta play!!!!!!” (I remember approving her use of an even number of exclamation points since I think using an odd number is a minor—and annoying—act of aggression.)

And so while loving Britney Spears is, currently, a popular thing to do, it’s important to distinguish those professing their love for her sincerely from those doing so ironically. Those who love her ironically probably do so because it is easier to keep Spears at arm’s-length, lest they too fully realize how close to her they are. It’s a little bit like loving your mother, or an idea of your mother; you can’t help but worry that love will transform into becoming her, or that idea of her. It’s not—not really—very cool.

But if there’s one thing Spears’ Instagram can teach us, it’s that being cool is not a means to an end, nor is it necessarily the end itself. The reason Spears continues to dominate is because she is consistently, almost decadently, herself, and she is so in a way that feels liberating to witness, so difficult it is to be that way in our own lives. So as we struggle to make sense of who we are, who we want to be, who we’ll allow ourselves to become, it is nice to have an online oasis of sorts, a relief from the constant posturing that exists everywhere else, a place where we can’t help but be reminded that it’s boring to pretend to be normal, we should all just, as Spears reminds us, go back to being ourselves.

The singer performed two new songs during Jack Antonoff’s Ally Coalition benefit concert last night. “Me and Jack wrote a couple of country songs just for fun, so we thought we’d play them,” Lana announced to the audience, according to Billboard. Many think “just for fun” means they likely won’t end up on her new album, Norman Fucking Rockwell (which has a reported release date of March).

Apparently Lana Del Rey is venturing into country! The singer wrote a couple country songs with Jack Antonoff, which she performed on Dec. 5 at the Ally Coalition in New York.

"Me and Jack wrote a couple of country songs just for fun. So we thought we’d play them," Del Rey said.

We’re totally here for experimenting, and maybe it’s just us, but country Lana sounds a lot like regular Lana. Just, like, with an acoustic guitar playing in the background. If this is what country is nowadays, we might have to listen to the genre more.

For those unaware, Antonoff is quite prolific in the music industry. He’s not only the Bleachers frontman, but he’s also written hits for stars like Taylor Swift and Lorde, as well as many others. He co-organized the event last night to raise funds for homeless and at-risk LGBTQ youth. Fun., Regina Spektor, and Taylor Swift were among performers at the benefit show.

The series follows Grande through her 2017 Dangerous Woman tour and shows the lead-up to the Sweetener album. The fourth episode shows Grande’s devotion to meeting her fans and also addresses her One Love Manchester concert, which benefitted the victims of the bombing that happened at her concert. The episode does not show footage from that night but gives us a little insight into how she publicly dealt with the attack.

“It’s been eight months since the attack at our show at the Manchester Arena. It’s impossible to know where to start or to know what to say about this part. May 22, 2017, will leave me speechless and filled with questions for the rest of my life.

Grande then announced that she’d be returning to Manchester to honor and raise money for the victims of the attack and their families, sharing a link to the Manchester Evening News’ Just Giving partnership with the Red Cross.
The spirit of the people of Manchester, the families affected by this horrendous tragedy, and my fans around the world have permanently impacted all of us for the rest of our lives. Their love, strength, and unity showed me, my team, my dancers, band, and entire crew not to be defeated. To continue during the scariest and saddest of times. To not let hate win. But instead, love as loudly as possible, and to appreciate every moment.

The people of Manchester were able to change an event that portrayed the worst of humanity into one that portrayed the most beautiful of humanity. 'Like a handprint on my heart'…I think of Manchester constantly and will carry this with me every day for the rest of my life.

"When something so opposite and so poisonous takes place in your world that is supposed to be everything but that… it is shocking and heartbreaking in a way that seems impossible to fully recover from."

Grande went on to explain that the tragedy taught her resilience and to not take life for granted.

Ariana Grande has shocked her fans with a dramatic new post-split hairstyle.

The newly single pop singer has long sported long locks and her signature high ponytail, but she appears to have now opted for the chop.

The break up occurred just weeks after the tragic death of Ariana's ex-boyfriend, US rapper Mac Miller who died of a cocaine and fentanyl overdose.

And earlier this year, the star broke down in tears when reliving the Manchester Arena terror attack, where a suicide bombing killed 22 people at her concert in May 2017.

"People are permanently affected by this stuff. It changes everything," she said in August.

"Well you actually have hair so that (probably) makes it a lil more painful," Grande replied, alluding to her natural hair, or lack thereof. "Nah jk I’m in constant pain always and don’t care at all."

Grande's hairstyle switch up comes during a liberating period for the star as she continues riding high with "Thank U, Next," her ode to her exes, hitting No. 1 on the Hot 100 singles charts this week.

While she’s been synonymous with that big pony energy forever, maybe the hairstyle was keeping her grounded in the past. Earlier this month, with her single “thank u, next,” she’ has already signaled a shift in her mindset.

A haircut can be cathartic when the world feels crazy (we know that from experience), so hopefully Grande is feeling like a new person post-chop. Or, at least, not in pain anymore.

Earlier this month, singer Camila Cabello Tweeted at Grande about how she deals with wearing her signature ponytail all the time. She wrote: "I just did a high ponytail for the first time and it is literally pulling on my BRAIN ITS SO PAINFUL HOW DO YOU DO IT." The singer responded: "well u actually have hair so that prolly makes it a lil more painful ..... nah jk i’m in constant pain always and don’t care at all."

Ð?аÑ?Ñ?инки по запÑ?осÑ? Azealia Banks Calls Out Lana Del Rey For Criticizing Kanye

Azealia Banks took time from ripping roosters to ripping songstress Lana Del Rey for the ‘High By the Beach’ beauty’s headline grabbing remarks on Kanye West.

That’s when Banks chimed in and said Del Rey is using West to make herself look like she’s in the political know. She also said the singer is involved in witchcraft.

West incited fury over the weekend after a lengthy pro-Trump rant saw him later call for the repeal of the 13th amendment (which abolished slavery in the United States). The announcement caught the eye of Del Rey who, via open letter, scolded the rapper and called his controversial stance in need of “intervention ”

From there, Banks brought up fellow Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky, who she accused of assaulting women. Rocky collaborated with Del Rey on more than one occasion and played her husband in the video for “National Anthem.”

Despite coming to West’s defense, Banks has long made her negative opinion on him be known. Two years after claiming the rapper ‘lost all credibility when he became a Kardashian,’ she followed up with a verbal attack earlier this year.

If that wasn’t enough, she refocused her attention on him just hours before coming to his aid by claiming he was a copycat.

Banks and Kanye have yet to collaborate, but it’s something the Harlem rapper clearly wants based on a separate message she sent. Banks also accused Kanye of stealing her idea of re-designing the MAGA hat.

Last week the “Life of Pablo” creator said that he made changes to the hat and brought “positive energy” to it. For her part, Banks created a version of the hat years ago but used the phrase “Make Azealia Great Again” instead.

"Kanye, I have already done it," she wrote about the MAGA hat. “Stop lifting my ideas and come collaborate with me already. This is annoying now. The ideas I come up with aren’t half of what we could do with your resources. Let me give you original ideas please."

Actually, It’s Cool If Céline Dion Is A Satanist

A Catholic priest has accused Céline Dion of being a Satanist, citing her gender-neutral clothing line as the reason for his claim.

Ð?аÑ?Ñ?инки по запÑ?осÑ? Actually, Itâ??s Cool If Céline Dion Is A Satanist

Who cares what Celine Dion thinks of the world, right? She’s really good at singing, in that earnest style. Why not judge her on that alone? No need to get political.

Well, she got into product lines, like many celebs. First a line of perfumes, and now children’s clothing. After all, she has a few kids of her own. (But that wasn't really normal either, as I'll explain tonight...)

What's weird is that Celine Dion`s clothing for kids is gender-neutral.

These clothes are as ugly as you’d think. For one thing, they have lots of skulls. That’s not normal, either. Children are a fountain of life; they are vivacious, lively, inspiring, energetic, growing. It’s gross and unnatural to have children and dead men’s skulls together.

"People behind this are influencing children to disorder,” Esseff told the National Catholic Register. “This is definitely satanic. There is a mind behind it—an organized mindset." CELINUNUNU, however, considers itself a brand that "liberates children from the traditional roles of boy/girl, and enables younger people to grow on values of equality with the freedom to strengthen their own power of personality based on mutual respect."

I think her clothing line will fail — it feels like a political stunt, a trans activism gimmick.

Her own experience of having children was antiseptic and de-humanized; I’m not condemning in-vitro fertilization; but you must agree with me that her comments about keeping kids in the freezer till she wants them is odd.

I still like the sound of her voice, and I’m sure her concerts are great. But someone needs to get her off of this bizarre project she’s on. She doesn’t need the money.

I think Celine Dion is a bit screwed up — her life, while glamorous, has always been lived in a gilded cage. Her manager as a child, 26 years older than her, became her husband. She surely hasn’t had a moment of real life she since was a child herself.

Miley Cyrus Is On The Run From The Police In New Video

"Nothing Breaks Like a Heart" is the lead single from Ronson's upcoming fifth studio album. It's his first release as a lead artist since dominating the charts in 2014 with Bruno Mars and "Uptown Funk." On his latest collaboration, Mark teams up with pop superstar Cyrus on "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart." The two wrote it together with Ronson producing the song alongside Jamie xx. The country-influenced dance track is not off from Miley's sound on last year's rustic Younger Now album. Plucky guitar and cinematic strings back her tackling a relationship on the rocks head-on. "We got all night to fall in love, but just like that we fall apart," she sings. Ronson translates the heartbreak into one heck of a bluesy banger.

A new record to promote also meant advertising the material to her fans. Cyrus returned to Instagram on Nov. 26 after a four-month hiatus to tease the new music. She had wiped her account and posted a picture of a broken heart-shaped disco ball on the social media site, followed by subsequent posts spelling out the title of the track. Each post had a brief audio snippet previewing the song in the background, with videos suggesting to show sneak peeks of scenes from the official music video. They share the caption "11/29" as well as tags referencing Ronson.

Cyrus and Ronson are slated as the musical guests for Saturday Night Live for the Dec. 15 show. Matt Damon will be joining the pair that night as the host of the episode.

But it wouldn't be a Miley Cyrus single without a slightly absurd, off-kilter music video. Following her as she leads the police on a slow speed chase, a la O.J. Simpson, we see Cyrus cruise down the highway and into a strip club, a shooting range, and in the process become a sort of folk hero as crowd line-up to cheer her on as she evades capture.

Andrew Garfield was famously dating Emma Stone for four years back in 2015.

A source told the newspaper: “Rita let slip to pals about her brewing romance about a month ago.

“But in recent days things have started to heat up and she says what they have is the real deal.

Ora told People in a new interview this week that she's open to dating anyone. “I never know what I’m looking for,” Ora said. “I don’t actually, at all.” Her rep had no comment for People on the Garfield dating rumors.

Garfield, 35, was last photographed making out with actress Susie Abromeit on a Malibu beach back in September. While outlets at the time reported they were dating, no update on them since then has come out. Ora, 28, broke up with producer Andrew Watt in September. So sure, maybe this is happening! Award season is a little more than month away, so we'll see how it progresses.

We're not sure whether the rumours are true but GLAMOUR has reached out to a rep for Rita and Andrew for a comment and we'll update you when we know more.

Katy Perry is Forbes' highest-paid woman in music for 2018

"I don't feel like I'll always have to be feeding the meter of show business. I got my spot, yo."

Katy Perry has topped Forbes magazine’s 2018 list of the highest-paid women in music, with earnings of $83 million (£64 million).

Katy was followed in the list by Taylor Swift, who placed second with pre-tax earnings of $80 million (£62 million). Forbes noted that while many may have expected Taylor to top the annual financial breakdown, many of her Reputation Stadium Tour dates fell outside of the June-June time period. Despite that, the launch of Taylor's new album Reputation saw her top the charts worldwide, selling two million copies in its opening week, and it undoubtedly contributed to her still impressive bank balance.

The top three of Forbes’ 2018 list was rounded out by Beyonce, who raked in $60 million (£46 million) thanks to her performance at Coachella earlier this year and her joint album with husband JAY-Z. Much like Taylor, Beyonce’s On The Run II tour fell outside of the time period looked at by Forbes, meaning it will be reflected in their 2019 list.

Battling it out for number one are Taylor Swift and Katy Perry, Swift brought in $80 million but couldn’t outdo Katy Perry who is the highest earning woman in music with $83 million.

Figures are for pretax earnings from June 1, 2017, through June 1, 2018, before deducting fees for agents, managers, lawyers and estate executors. Sources include Nielsen SoundScan, NPD BookScan, insider interviews and Forbes estimates. Additional reporting by Natalie Robehmed and Rebecca Lerner.

Full List:

1. Katy Perry ($83 million)

2. Taylor Swift ($80 million)

3. Beyoncé ($60 million)

4. Pink ($52 million)

5. Lady Gaga ($50 million)

6. Jennifer Lopez ($47 million)

7. Rihanna ($37.5 million)

8. Helene Fischer ($32 million)

9. Celine Dion ($31 million)

10. Britney Spears ($30 million)

"That's the best thing about being a musician," said Halsey. "You get to constantly show the world how you've changed and how you've grown. And you get to say, 'Hey, look at me, look at how much better I am now than I used to be."

Taylor Swift hops to Universal Music Group

"Over the years, Sir Lucian Grainge and Monte Lipman have been such incredible partners. It's so thrilling to me that they, and the UMG team, will be my label family moving forward. It's also incredibly exciting to know that I'll own all of my master recordings that I make from now on."

Taylor Swift has left her record label home of the past 12 years and signed a new worldwide deal with Universal Music Group.

Announcing the big industry news via Instagram, the pop star posted a shot of herself posing with UMG chairman and CEO Lucian Grainge and Republic Records CEO Monte Lipman.

She added the caption: "I'm ecstatic to announce that my musical home will be Republic Records and Universal Music Group.

"Over the years, Sir Lucian Grainge and Monte Lipman have been such incredible partners. It's so thrilling to me that they, and the UMG team, will be my label family moving forward. It's also incredibly exciting to know that I'll own all of my master recordings that I make from now on.

The 10-time Grammy winner signed with Big Machine Record when she was just 15-years-old. In her time with the Nashville-based independent label, Swift sold more than 32 million albums in the United States alone. The 28-year-old is now the only artist in history to have four albums sell more than one million copies in their release week. Swift is arguably one of the most successful female artists of all time.

She closed her note with a "heartfelt thanks" to Big Machine's Scott Borchetta. "I’m extremely grateful to get to do what I love, especially with the people I’ve been fortunate enough to work with," she shared.

Swift has also sparred publicly with Spotify, removing her catalog from the service for what she said was unfair compensation. Her music returned last year, after Spotify agreed to restrict some music to its paid tier, which pays higher royalties.

Swift also teased new music. “I’m so excited,” she wrote at the end of her note. “I can’t wait to show you what I’m making next.”
