Is this speaker system compatible with Kontrol S2?

Warning: Noob Questions

I need sound for my S2 setup. I found a good pair of Peaveys that I like and can afford. Before I pull the trigger on them I was just wondering if they are compatible with my Kontrol S2.

Peavey PV115 Speaker Cabinets with Stands and cables. Here is the link:

The last thing I want is to buy these things just to find out I need an amp or different cables or something like that.
Will these speakers work with the S2 and how would I set them up? The cables are 1/4 and the S2 has RCA.

Thanks guys....

I believe padi is using "PA" to refer to a "Power Amplifier," which is what is causing the confusion

Each Harbinger speaker was $200 and I bought them from Guitar Center online. They also have packages where you can get both speakers and stands for around $500. If you have other S2 questions, I would post a new thread within the category.

With my S2 the first of speakers I purchased were a pair of Harbinger APS15 Powered speakers. They are powered speakers so no need for an amp, and the sound is crystal clear. Works great with the S2 and easy setup, I just use 1/4inch to RCA cables to connect from the speakers to the S2.

Still passive. Look at the back/side of the speakers, if you only see audio jacks they need a PA.

This is how active ones look. Sometimes you get a bundle where one is active and it powers both.

Ok thanks Padi.

I want Peavey 15s, so how about these then? They say PA.

You need a PA, they are passive speakers
