See and personally I don't like that site compared to his go figure.

Thats what I enjoyed most about his site. Really clean and represents what you are wanting to do. Very cutting edge.

check them out, they host about 12 different tutorial sights from web development/design, mobile, games development, video pre & post, photography, design to music production... pretty much anything to do with digital media.

nettuts is the best as they always keep you up to date with the developer trends and have easy to follow tutorials with about 50 video tutorials for premium subscribers. I spent a year in Tertiary Education but learnt more in a month reading their blog and watching their videos and decided not to go back.

Also speaking of physics famo.us gets released on the 5th of December, if you haven't heard of that definitely check it out. it would easily smooth out you scroll as it runs at 60fps and you can control gravity, friction, weight ect... I can't wait to have a play!!

Thank you guys so much for taking the time to check it out! Your input is really appreciated!!

There's definitely a balance and some tradeoffs when making a website interactive and visually pleasing yet user-friendly in multiple browsers and platforms. I know that I have alienated a percentage of users by having a creative UX for others. I have done the best I can to have the overall UX average for all potential customers as high as possible.

Synthet1c: Shopify is my favorite hosted ecommerce shopping cart. It certainly has its downfalls (all do), but overall, for many situations, it is the choice for me. I use it for my personal ecommerce store. The customers service is phenomenal but some integrated features are lacking. For basic small business commerce, it works quite well. To be honest, I hadn't even heard of envato before you mentioned it so I don't really know what you're talking about there.

the only thing I would do is use CSS3 transitions with the scroll to make it move smoother on modern browsers and use "top" to set the position with javascript, or just write a little physics engine to handle it. But I really like the design, I believe it has just enough WOW factor that is sure to impress any perspective business clients.

Also how is shopify working out for you? I was believeing of learning it to make some money on the side... Is it worth it considering you need to pay envato a commission and use them for hosting...

I tried to act like I'm even more of an idiot than I really am, and I still managed to find out what your business really is. Under a minute. So it definitely works, since the message is clear. I might call your site a tad over-designed, but then again, your business is making websites so I get it why you want to showcase your skills.

Background look nice when scrolled smoothly (with scrolling bar) but mousewheel scrolling makes them "jumpy"

I really love the layered pages! However, I'm not too sure I would put flat rates on the site as your competitors might see and react accordingly as well...

Thank you for taking the time to check it out guys. I really appreciate your feedback! Once I have more copy content, I believe the pictures will be less distracting.

Yeah, its just a composition to frame/subject type of thing for me. The pictures become un-cropped and distract when scrolling. This is granted that I have no idea what it took to do that kinda thing.
