After Rudimental took the throne from Duke Dumont last Sunday, Daft Punk take the UK Top 40 #1 spot with 'Get Lucky'. Surprisingly enough the infectiously funky tune is the first UK number one hit for the French electro duo. Their next best charted single, 'One More Time', was voted #1 on Mixmag's '50 Greatest Dance Tracks of All Time', but never made it to the top back in year 2000. Now, the new single that features the signature groove of Nile Rodgers and soulful vocals of Pharrell Williams, sold over 155,000 copies in a week, claiming the best ranking with ease. Rodgers commented on the success of the tune: "The relationship between myself and Daft Punk was just so unbelievably right. So, the fact that it has gone to Number 1 is humbling.
