Swedish House Mafia - Dream team of house
Swedish House Mafia is a house music group consisting of three extremely popular DJ’s and producers - Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso. Officially formed in 2008 and released their first major single “One (Your Name)” in 2010, Swedish House Mafia was ranked to the 2nd place in the ‘DJ Magazines Top 100’ 2011. In January 2012 they won an EBBA Award at the European Border Breakers Award. A while ago this dynamic trio answered to a few questions of Dan Schawbel, the managing partner of Millenial Branding, for the Forbes Magazine.
All of three started making music in quite young age. For Sebastian Ingrosso it was like a natural choice as his father had 2 electronic music labels in the late 80′s and early 90′s so he ate and breathed house and techno back then. Axwell on the other hand started with making music for the computer game.
For all three family seems to stand on a most important place – on the question about their typical day all of them mention having a time with the family first. What is nice.
About the house music taken over America this dynamic trio shared the common opinion about the house music really being always in U.S., but feels like a new revolution now because of the refocusing more on the house music from the hip-hop, changes in the sounds and just cause of the right timing.
About the biggest influences they named Daft Punk , Coldplay, Quincy Jones. Big fans of the social media channels, but also believe, that at the end of the day it is still the performance, what matters. Well, they are right about that. And their future plans boys prefer to keep in secret
