DJ-Follower's Weekend's Dose of Funky Tunes: DJ Day, The Reflex and Funkanomics

00:00 Nov/30/1999

We're going to get funked up this weekend! In line with a new 'Land of 1000 Chances' LP, DJ Day is giving out a free mixtape. Why should you care? Well, this just happens to be one of the most brilliant soul, funk, R&B mixes you've ever heard. To boost the funk edition of Free Tunes, I looked up another great Funk DJ/producer called The Reflex.  To cap off, you have the Funkanomics with a drum and bass remix of Elton John!

Reminder: these tracks are the courtesy of the artist. Sort of creative commons that you are supposed to share, mix and remix as you please. Nevertheless, we urge you to support the artists by acquiring their other releases and going to the shows! Enjoy, and grab them while you can!

Also: Don't miss out on the last, choice of free tunes by  Dim Mak vs. Buygore, MartyParty and MitiS!

Getting support from heavyweights like John Morales, Dimitri From Paris, Ashley Beedle and Kon, The Reflex (not to be confused with Reflex) is rapidly becoming one of the names to keep an eye on. His groovy remixes and edits are climbing their way into playlists of young and old. Madonna for the win! Grab the Free DL!

DJ Day isn't the type to just upload mixes every other week. He keeps you on his toes, so that everytime he puts out a mix, he'll have the fans eating out of his palm. Casting a light on the inspiration behind his new 'Land of 1000 Chances' LP, Day masterfully mixes together tracks young and old, originals and remixes. Springtime is upon us, this will open your arms, eyes and minds to the blossoming beauty that lies ahead! Download here

This one's not exactly from any funk genre, although it's one hell of a funky D'n'B tune. Besides, the artist name is Funkanomics, so let's go! Elton John could've used this kind of remixing a while ago, if you ask me. Drum and bass for the open-minded. Enjoy!
