There’s a certain kind of aura surrounding BBC 1. Even if you aren’t a regular listener of BBC 1’s radio shows, you still know Pete Tong’s Essential Mix program. The resident presenters Zane Lowe, Annie Mac and Toddla T are amazing when it comes to orchestrating a radio show, making witty comments about the tracks and artists who have authored them. Skream and Benga’s weekly show has been a nice addition, certainly appreciated by the bass music fans. Last year, Diplo & Friends were introduced – Diplo, of course, having no trouble bringing in guest DJs like Fake Blood, Jack Beats, Bro Safari, Clockwork, GTA and many more. Just fresh off the press, the UK station has announced that ’In New DJs We Trust’ is getting a new roster. Julio Bashmore, Mosca, B Traits and Jordan Suckley are the current line-up at one of the most appealing BBC 1 shows. During the year, 12 new DJs will be replacing them – 4 have been announced this far!

Bromance labelhead Brodinski, Glaswegian Jackmaster, Chicago-schooled Salva and fresh blood Monki have been recruited for In New DJs We Trust, the program drawing attention to fresh, high quality dance music.

Monki is first up, you can listen to her first show on BBC 1 website for another week:

„Hailing from London, Monki (Lucy Monkman) represents all corners of the club from House to Grime. She will join the rotation on Monday 7th January, replacing B Traits.“

„LA Producer Paul Salva’s first show begins on the 28th March, in place of Jordan Suckley. He’ll be breaking the hottest underground electronic tracks from the US and abroad. A celebration of all things 808, from rap to rave.“

"Glaswegian DJ and part of the Numbers collective, this 26 year old will bring his ‘eclectic electrics’ to the station on 21st Feb; from techno & house to disco & dubstep. You can also catch a taster of what he’s about on Wednesday 9th January, before he takes over from Julio Bashmore."

"Parisian Louis Rogé AKA Brodinski will join on the 11th April replacing Mosca. He’ll present a mash up of hip hop, house, techno & electro, bringing the beat to control your body and making you feel the real French vibe!"
