Moving Loops

Moving Loops
Posted on: 20.11.2011 by Adam Hindall
Hello

Is there a way to move a loop 4 or 8 bars to the left or right on a track?

I know we can adjust the length of the loops, but I would like control where a loop is on the track.

Thanks
Danny

Yes. You're going to need to map the following commands either to (most likely a pair of) buttons, or an encoder:
  • Cue/Loops>Cue/Loop Move Mode- Button, Direct to Loop
  • Cue/Loops>Cue/Loop Move Size- Button, Direct to whatever # of beats (or loop, for the size of the active loop)
  • Cue/Loops>Cue/Loop Move- either [button inc/dec] or [encoder relative]

Well since the question is in the VCI-100 community I believe he's probably using a VCI-100. What mapping are you using?
